Alison Kilpatrick

Born and raised in LaSalle, Ontario, Alison Kilpatrick is an amateur genealogist with a keen interest in historic newspapers. Alison is well known in the online genealogical community, as much for her family history interests in England and Ireland, as for the volume and reliability of her transcriptions from 18th and 19th century Irish newspapers, covering several counties in the province of Ulster. Alison developed an interest in the historic newspapers of Lockport, New York, while researching her husband's ancestors who lived in the western part of that state during the 1830s. Alison hopes to contribute useful, reliable, and extensive transcriptions and indexes to the 19th century historical knowledge base for the counties of Armagh, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry, Monaghan, and Tyrone, and for the town of Lockport and county of Niagara, in New York state.
